Dr. Castro serves as the eighth chancellor to lead the California State University. Having assumed the CSU chancellorship in January 2021, he is the first Californian and first person of color to serve in this role.
Open Forum with the Chancellor All members of the Sonoma State community are invited to attend an Open Forum with the Chancellor in the Student Center Ballroom from 3:50 to 4:35 p.m. on September 29. This is an exciting opportunity to hear directly from the Chancellor and ask questions. The Ballroom can accommodate up to 300 people. Students, faculty and staff also can watch the forum via Zoom.
