Make an impact! Help to close the gender gap in technology and change the image of what a programmer looks like and does!
Our Girls Who Code Club (grades 6-12) is looking for an experienced coder to help teach our 2022 club. The Coding Volunteer will help teach a small group of girls how to code using the official Girls Who Code Curriculum, while the library will take care of the rest (administration and organization of the club).
About the club: The library's club is a branch of the official Girls Who Code organization, and we utilize the official curriculum and club format. The club meets for 12-weeks, from January - April 2022 (Thursdays 6:30 - 8 p.m.), at the library. The club has 12 seats for a small-group learning experience.
Requirements to Volunteer:
18 years and older
5 years experience in coding
Pass a background check
Female identifying/non-binary
Must be able to commit to a 12-week course
