JOB SUMMARY: Shippers prepare products and materials for shipping -- picking, packing, and loading, and maintaining all documents related to shipping in a fast paced environment. Ability to work with a team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Pick, pack, and load products and material for shipment by small package carrier and freight lines Use of forklifts and battery charging/loading station Confirm accuracy of products and materials picked and loaded Based upon picking slip, prepare packaging for shipments according to customer requests Ensure that material is shipped on a timely basis and consult with supervisor and internal employees regarding any shipping issues or need for clarifications Warehouse inventory counts Perform various other tasks as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma 2 – 4 years’ experience Forklift experience a plus, but not necessary COMMUNICATION SKILLS : Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal and teaming skills COMPUTER OR TECHNICAL SKILLS : Basic computer skills. Familiarity with MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook OTHER SKILLS : Detail oriented Able to work with minimum supervision Able to work late to accommodate late shipments on an as needed basis Complete all task in a safe and effective manner Job Type: Full-time Required education: High school or equivalent Job Type: Full-time COVID-19 considerations: We are following all CDC guidelines regarding COVID-19.
