Description
I have played lots of solo and duo singer/songwriter gigs of my own, so I know what a good back-up musician does. I have great back-up chops, and I am a little tired of me and my songs. At this point, and with my particular skills, I would rather back somebody else up than play my old gigs.
I play acoustic and electric guitar, bass, keys, lap steel, mandolin, banjo and harmonica, and I sing reliable harmony. I have more range on some instruments than others, but I have recorded extensively on all of them, and would be happy to link/send examples.
I would like to be the back-up guy I was always looking for, and occasionally finding, one who knows the music cold, plays heads-up and has a great time.
I am looking for someone with professional work habits (like mine!) who has two sets in performance shape, has a set of good originals, has gigs booked or bookable. I don't care about age, gender, race (in case you do, I am a white male of retirement age). I do care about venues, prefer listening environments. not interested in 4-set bar gigs. Or 3 sets, for that matter. And I am looking for something musically great. So my economic expectations are very modest, as long as the intangibles are cool.
Please contact me from a real email address, I will reply from same.
