9/27/21 - Probably this entry qualifies as big news. County and Caltrans officials have informed me that the brush overgrowth (see my 8/17 remarks) is getting cleared out by a maint. crew today. Also mentioned is a design by OC for something called the I-605 Katella Interchange Improvement project, said to widen Katella, install a bike lane and a sidewalk. Caltrans now has a webpage on I-605 Katella which doesn't spill a lot of details and appears to deal mainly with the multiple cloverleaf ramps. This news comes on roughly the fourth anniversary of my writing to local/state/county officials about this place in bthe Los Al and Long Beach. No word from the Long Beach side so far.
