Hi, I am relatively new to philly and looking to meet and collaborate with any like minded creative folks. I’m 29, and have been making music for more than 20 years at this point (primarily writing and performing on guitars but also studied percussion extensively and toured nationally as a drummer). Anyhow, I would love to connect with some folks who have invested time into their art and craft, I think the best kind of music and musicians are those who take a little bit from everything so my influences are extremely broad and flexible — to name a few standouts though, recently I’ve been really digging the Pentangle, Weather Report, Billie Holiday, a lot of early Mastodon, Brian Eno, Miles Davis, Joni Mitchell, Steve Reich, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Esperanza Spalding, Amon Tobin, Steely Dan, Stevie Wonder, King Crimson, Grouper, Magma, Jessica Pratt, and Meshuggah to name a few. I really do love all kinds of things though, and I’ve been writing a lot over the past several years so do have tunes to bring to the table, but would also be more than happy to just jam with anyone with similar interests with no “final destination” in mind. Would especially be interested in drummers, bassists, keys, and any other instruments! I also sing, and would love to talk to vocalists as well, especially higher vocal ranges. But if any of this speaks to you on some level, please reach out! Even if nothing clicks musically, it’s still always cool to meet other creative folks.
