Salary $25+ an hour Job Type Full-time Qualifications Experience: Relevant, 1 year (Preferred) Asbestos, 1 year (Preferred) Education: High school or equivalent (Preferred) License: illinois (Required) Job Duties Construct negative pressure containments using poly, tape, and glue Removal of asbestos from ceilings, walls, beams, boilers, floors and others materials. Assembly/Dismantling of scaffolding and sealing off of work area Positioning of mobile decontamination unit or portable showers at entrance of work area Building of connecting walkway between mobile unit or portable showers and work area Positioning of portable air evacuation and filtration system inside work area Spraying of chemical solution over asbestos covered surfaces Removal and disposal of asbestos Effectively communicate with the project manager Effectively communicate with property owners, GCs, Engineers, Inspectors, etc. Comply with company policy, safety policies, and procedural guidelines Follow hazardous waste handling guidelines Requirements Must have current Asbestos Supervisor certification for IL Supervisory experience a must Valid driver’s license Excellent communication and customer service skills Professionally dressed and groomed Able to work in non-conventional environments (outdoor work conditions, buildings, roof tops, duct work, scaffolding, etc.) Residential & Commercial work experience Ability to lift 25+ lbs. with attention to detail and surroundings Must be able to work a flexible schedule (Nights/Weekends) A positive, self-starter that can work with little or no supervision Must be able to complete and pass at physical, and background check Must have a clean driving record with access to a reliable vehicle Must be willing to travel and stay in Hotels when performing out of town work Pay-Scale: $25+/HR depending on experience | Private & Public Sector (prevailing wage) work available Candidates must pass a medical fit test to wear a respirator, a background check, and have a clean driving record to qualify for employment.
