Tuesdays, October 12th - November 30th This introductory 8-week course will cover water-based screenprinting, where we will be exploring the basic techniques and concepts of this fine art printmaking process. There will be an emphasis on non-toxic methods and materials. Techniques covered will include: cut paper and hand-painted (autographic) stencils, monotypes, and photographic emulsion. Experimental approaches towards the process will be encouraged. No prior experience is required. Class participants must be 18 or older. He received his MFA in printmaking from the University of North Texas in 2013, and his BFA in printmaking from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2010. He has held teaching positions at the University of Houston, the Museum of Fine Arts Houston’s Glassell School of Art, and Lonestar College.
