Description
Let me first say that I am a former Navy command officer who has had the difficult task of informing a next of kin that their loved one has taken their life. I take the pain of suicide quite seriously.
But while I take the issue of suicide seriously, I take the oath I swore to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States even more so. In all the years since I first took that oath, Trump is the first person in high elected office that, in my opinion, puts his aspirations for power and material gain over the oath he swore. Throughout his entire life, he has repeatedly shown that his first and foremost concern is Donald Trump. From the madness he showed during his quixotic quest to overturn the outcome of a fair and legal election, to his caustic remarks to female reporters, to the absolute incompetence he exhibited throughout the pandemic, Donald Trump has clearly shown that he is the most inept and unqualified man to serve as Commander in Chief of America's Armed Forces.
In Mr. Trump, I see the one and only example where suicide would produce a greater good than the horror of the act itself.
