The Foreman is responsible for the effective, cost-efficient, safe, environmentally responsible and ethical management of assigned maintenance properties/projects. Foreman – Landscape Maintenance Responsibilities: Plans assigned projects to complete in the most timely, cost-efficient, safe and harmonious manner. May layout and oversee installation projects. Manages each project to most efficiently utilize available labor, tools and equipment. Provides day-to-day leadership to the work crew. Ensures each employee is proficient in working with tools/ equipment, properly oriented, receives guidance, regular performance feedback, and any corrective direction. Ensures projects are handled in the safest and environmentally responsible manner. This is a working leadership role that often involves working side-by-side with the crew to get the jobs done properly, on time and on budget. Foreman – Landscape Maintenance Skills Requirements: Must know all aspects of the Lead and Landscape Specialist roles Familiar with commonly used plants Excellent planning, organizing, budgeting, and leadership/supervisory skills; ability to focus/ align crew to complete projects on-time and within budget Good English speaking and writing skills; ability to read and write in Spanish; basic math skills Strong customer, quality and results orientation Work outside all day Foreman – Landscape Maintenance Physical Demands: Must be able to see, hear, speak and write clearly in order to communicate with customers, managers and employees. This is a physically demanding role requiring the incumbent to be able to: Have full range of mobility in upper and lower body Reach over head Work in various positions including, but not limited to stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, and squatting for extended periods of time.
