Geis Building Products located in Brookfield is looking for residential and commercial overhead door technician. FULL TIME POSITION with overtime potential Starting pay rate is $18+ per hour plus benefits (health, disability, 401K, vacation). We are looking for self-motivated individuals that would like to further their career in installation and service on overhead doors. The right candidate will be mechanically and technically inclined and possesses the interpersonal skills to thrive in this customer service focused position. Experience preferred but not necessary for a very well-qualified candidate that possesses strong mechanical skills. Commercial installation and service experience a definite plus. Qualifications: • Mechanical aptitude, including skill in using a variety of hand and power tools, accurately reading a tape measure, and being able to understand equipment manuals • Commitment to customer satisfaction and high-quality standards • Physically able to move items weighing 50-150 lbs. and the ability to bend, climb, reach, kneel, etc. for extended periods • Confidence - the individual who feels capable of repairing an overhead door no matter what size. Requirements: • High school diploma or GED • Ability to lift and stand with loads on ladders • Ability to walk and stand on concrete surfaces during entire shift • Ability to understand instructions in written, oral or diagram form • Provide own hand tools (work truck, power tools and ladders provided to employees) • This position also requires a pre-employment drug test
