My name is Jake and I am an independent contractor specializing in residential remodeling and repair projects. I am looking for an assistant/laborer to help me with my jobs, which may include any of the following: bathroom/kitchen remodel, flooring installation and refinishing, home exterior work, water damage repair, roof repair, light electrical and plumbing, trim and carpentry work, and much more. As you may know, contractors are in high demand right now, and I need someone to help me keep up with the work coming in. No experience is necessary, but the following skills are non-negotiable: stellar work ethic, dependability and self-discipline, eagerness to learn, and willingness to get your hands dirty and do some grunt work (along with a good mix of fun and challenging tasks as well!). The schedule is flexible, and I can work around your other commitments (school, part time job, etc.) to a certain extent. I have work most days of the week and some weekends, and on the days I don't work for clients I work on my own house. So you would be able to put in plenty of hours, and most weeks could easily go above 40 hours. I would like someone to be able to commit AT LEAST 30 hours most weeks. What I need from you: a desire to provide clients with outstanding and efficient work in a respectful and positive manner. I am only looking for candidates who can demonstrate a history of superb work ethic (with references) and a willingness to learn. Everything else can be taught. Compensation: hourly pay starting at $17 per hour and open to negotiation if you can demonstrate experience and proficiency and construction/carpentry/other skilled labor. Other details: my jobs are located all over -- so far I have been as far west as Avon and as far east as Pepper Pike. You will need to demonstrate that you have your own reliable transportation and an ability to drive to any job location in the Greater Cleveland area and surrounding suburbs. Background check and at least two references from previous jobs are required.
