Description
Mid-cities four member alt rock band looking for a steady drummer to fill out the lineup.
About us: we are currently a four-piece band in our early to mid-40s. We all have extensive stage experience and can gig whenever we're ready, but we aren't quitting our day jobs or anything. This is for fun. We play because we love music and hanging out with each other, not because we have grand dreams of becoming rock stars. Our biggest goal is playing some shows in the DFW area. Personality and "fit" is just as important as talent for us (we're patient if you need to build up the chops). We are building up a set list of cover songs and will add originals when we have a full lineup and a solid list of songs ready to go.
About you: you're a solid in-the-pocket drummer who's a good human being. You're an adult who perhaps played regularly in the past and is itching to pick up the sticks again. You have flexibility for practicing twice a week, normally one evening during the week and then on alternating Thursdays & Saturdays. You're dependable and learn songs on your own, so our group practice time is about tightening things up as a band. You can be simple or flashy but above all, you fit within the groove of the music.
We've got some multi-instrumental musicians in the group, so bonus points if you play bass or can sing backup vocals.
We have a rehearsal room just off of I-30 in NRH, with a kit ready for auditions. Reach out through here if you're interested!
