General Duties: Performs delivery service to customer base on an established delivery route in company pickup truck and trailer or 20' box truck. Communicates with customers regarding ETA’s to job-sites and or businesses. Reviews and confirms load for accuracy before leaving warehouse. Assists in maintaining clean and orderly working environment both in the branch and in delivery vehicles. Essential Functions: Uses company vehicle to deliver orders to customers in a safe and courteous manner. Keeps vehicle fueled in accordance to management instructions and business needs and notifies management of needed repairs. Follows all safety rules and applicable laws. Responsible for maintaining and storing equipment (i.e. pagers, keys, fuel card) in designated locations according to guidelines. Accurately interprets various warehouse documents to determine items being delivered. Minimum Years of Related Experience: 1 -3 Years Work Experience Required. Must have a valid driving license for two years and a good driving record. Must meet all applicable state-specific driver’s license requirements prior to driving a company vehicle to perform delivery duties. Skills & Abilities Required: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Current valid driver’s license with clear record. Ability to write clear and grammatical reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before customers or employees of organization. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance. Experience: • Delivery driver: 1-3 years (Preferred) • Must know how to drive with a trailer attached to pick up truck. Job Type: Full-time
