And by "irritating" I mean pissing off... The GOP is working hard to re-establish their own brand. Donald J Trump is not a team player. He only serves himself. These days, the agenda of the republican parry and the agenda of Trump do not jibe. Trump has never cared about the republican party. He is using them because he has no power without them. As the republicans drift form the Trump circus, trump loses power. In my opinion, the Republican Party will be ripping the Trump band aid off very soon. The GOP will collectively turn they backs on Trump at the same time. When the republicans signed Trump on as their 2016 nominee, they sold their soul to him. Eventually,m they will regrow their spine and shun Trump. This will happen fairly soon because they need time to rebrand themselves long before the 2024 election.
