Production Operator Job Duties and Responsibilities C.A.I., Inc is a leading manufacturer of flexographic and gravure printing inks and coatings for the packaging and printing industry. This position will involve working with a team of individuals dedicated to customer focus and manufacturing high quality products. Responsibilities: • Take direction from the Production Manager on establishing priorities on making printing ink and ink-related materials. • Add components to and operate mix tanks and ball mills. • Dispense product from mix tanks and ball mills into totes, drums, and pails. • Clean and rinse mix tanks and ball mills. • Print out labels for totes, drums, and pails. • Maintain a clean work environment, which may include manual sweeping/mopping and cleanup of floor debris, plastic wrap, ink deposits, etc. as well as drive and maintain a floor washer. • Follow company practices for disposal of trash and recyclables. • Work with the Production Manager and Corporate EHS Director on following the health and safety practices established for the Production Room and support areas. • Other duties as assigned. Shipping and Receiving Experience and Skills: • No previous Production experience is necessary • Speak English, or English as a second language • Ability to perceive color • Forklift certification and/or the ability to successfully complete forklift training • Physical stamina: must be able to repeatedly lift 50+ pounds at a time • Capable of repeated standing, walking, stair climbing, and bending • Must be able to work eight hours with occasional overtime to make/finish product for same-day shipment upon notice • Ability to use a computer for label printing • Reliable transportation • Comfortable working independently and part of a team • Makes safety a priority Work Hours & Benefits: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. May require additional availability to work overtime. • Salary $20.00/hour Matching 401K • Health Insurance Pension Plan • 2 weeks paid vacation 5 paid sick days. • 10 paid holidays Education and Licensing Requirements: • High school diploma or GED equivalent • Class I sit down electric forklift Certification
