Join Vive NW this October 2-3 to explore beautiful landscapes, enjoy a whitewater rafting trip, and discover some of Oregon's 7 wonders! (English/Spanish) English: The Painted Hills and Smith Rock have earned their place as one of Oregon's Seven Wonders. Join us for this action packed and exciting weekend where you will hike Smith Rock, discover the Painted Hills and go on an exhilarating whitewater rafting adventure on the Deschutes River. This action packed weekend is led by Vive NW in partnership with Travel Oregon and First Nature. Weekend Itinerary Day 1: 8:00 am - Departure from Portland/Gresham 9:30-10:00 am - Stop and short hike at Trillium Lake 12:00 - 1:30 pm - Picnic Lunch and hike at Smith Rock (guests bring on own lunch) 3:00 pm - Arrive at Painted Hills, 2-3 hour guided hike 6:00 pm - Check in to Hostel 7:00 pm - Dinner at Tiger Town (guests pay on own) 8:30 pm - Return to Hostel Overnight at Spoke'n Hostel Day 2: 08:00 am - Departure for Maupin, quick stop in Fossil, Antelope or Shaniko 10:30 am - Arrival and check-in for whitewater rafting in Maupin 11:00 am - 02:30 pm - Whitewater rafting on the Deschutes 02:30 pm - 03:15 pm - Lunch in Maupin (guest eat on own) 03:15 pm - Depart for Portland via Columbia River Gorge 06:30 pm - Arrive in Portland/Gresham Transportation, lodging and activities are included with your reservation. We ask that all participants and staff maintain a safe social distance and use a face mask.
