You do not need a show ticket to shop at This Way Out. GenevvaDream folk duo and real-life couple, Jenni Cochran and Aaron Craker, have been songwriting partners for the past decade. They met in 2011 when Jenni moved to Louisville and joined Aaron's solo project, Dr. Vitamin. They formed Frederick the Younger in 2015 and released two EPs and a full-length record. In early 2021 they changed their name to Genevva (after Jenni's grandmother) to represent a new direction in their sound. Their first release as Genevva - out July 9th, 2021- started out as an EP recorded at home during quarantine and quickly morphed into a full-length record. "Slip Away," a groove-filled, harmony-rich and lyrical album, sees Jenni and Aaron returning to their songwriting roots. Nods to 60s folk melodies and cinematic-old Hollywood give the album an aura of nostalgia and tranquility.

Both women have been playing music for over ten years and began writing, performing, and playing together in January 2019. In August, Hotel Fiction released their debut single "Astronaut Kids" to all streaming platforms which received a warm welcome from local audiences and several major U.S. cities. Hotel Fiction's sound has often been described as genre-fluid, with indie, pop, and rock influences. With Jade's dynamic vocals and piano and Jessica's complementing lead guitar and harmonies, the two create a unique experience for listeners. In quarantine, the two finished an album and are expecting to release it in 2021.
