Participants will learn about the fat in food, how to identify it, and how to make healthier choices around it, then will prepare a healthy Recipe: Turkey Meatballs and Brussel Sprouts Ingredients to be purchased ahead of time: 1 pound ground turkey, 1tbsp Worcestershire sauce, barbeque sauce, 1 egg, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, cooking spray, 1 pound fresh Brussel sprouts, cooking oil, paprika, garlic powder, whole wheat pasta of choice, pasta sauce of choice Equipment: oven/stove, skillet, pot, baking sheet, aluminum foil, mixing bowl, measuring cups and spoons, cutting board, knife, meat thermometer, oven mitts, mixing spoon Register to learn about fat in food and come see the teaching kitchen to learn a new recipe.
