Job description Job Description **Work Schedule: Saturday to Wednesday, 7AM-3:30PM** **$18.00 per hour** The Pool Service Technician/ Attendant will be responding to a wide array of pool maintenance needs and interacting directly with guests. Your responsibilities will also include, but are not limited to, performing preventive maintenance, responding to guest repair requests in a timely manner and maintaining inventory. The Pool Service Technician/ Attendant is responsible to oversee the pool area, make safety announcements and maintain an inventory of all poolside equipment to be available for guest use at all times. Job Responsibilities: Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications; and properly store flammable materials. Maintain the overall condition of the pool area. Maintain residential pool and any water features using proper chemicals and adjust as needed. Maintain the pool pumps and filters. Maintains health dept. logs and report any issues to management. Cleaning and servicing swimming pool filtration units. Use swimming pool vacuum cleaners to clean the pool floor. Use a telescopic pole with net to clean and remove any leaf or debris. Ensure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards anticipate and address guests- service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Adhere to quality expectations and standards. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other staff, residents and guests. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Enter and locate work-related information using computers. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested. Location Fort Lauderdale, FL Requirements Ideal Candidate will have: CPR / AED Certified or willing to get certified. Must be a Certified Pool Operator. Building trade such as painting, handyman skills is a plus. Customer Service Oriented Teamwork, cooperation and able to work under pressure. Prior related experience in a Residential, Hotel or Resort environment. Ability to serve needs of guests through use of the phone and face-to-face interactions. Must demonstrate a positive attitude and professional demeanor. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and commitment to a high level of guest satisfaction. * Ability to perform basic math skills. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos. Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, team Members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the Pool and amenities. Work schedules will include working on holidays, weekends and alternate shifts. High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Language Skills: Fluent in English, Spanish is also preferred. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of the job the Team Member regularly stands and walks for sustained periods of time. Works at a quick pace. The Team Member frequently grasps objects. The Team Member regularly reaches by extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction while performing the essential functions of the job. The Team Member frequently stoops and crouches. The Team Member talks frequently and needs to hear sounds or voices. Many aromas and smells are present in and around the properties recreation areas. Balance is frequently required to prevent falling when walking, standing while moving or carrying furniture or equipment. The Team Member frequently pushes and pulls equipment. Lifting is regularly required to move, clean or prepare recreation/gym areas. Exerts up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects such as carts, furniture and linens. The Team Member is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
