Hall are guest speakers at this gala brunch fundraiser to benefit women students The American Association of University Women Laguna Beach Branch LITERARY BRUNCH LAGUNA BEACH FESTIVAL of WOMEN AUTHORS celebrates women authors. This fundraiser will feature authors Janelle Brown, Jill G. Hall, and Lisa See. Books by the authors will be on sale both before and after the event and the speakers will be pleased to sign readers’ books. More About the EventPrior to the Surf & Sand Resort's delicious brunch and authors' presentations, participants enjoy a silent auction filled with unique items to bid on: art works, books, restaurant and beauty treatments gift certificates, museum and theater tickets, designer jewelry, hotel stays - the list goes on! Doors open at 9 am for the silent auction, book sales, and to meet the authors. This event runs from 9 am to 1 pm. Helping Women and GirlsThe Literary Brunch furthers our promise to help deserving women and girls, and through them, society at large – a promise of equity, leadership, scholarship, and excellence. Funds raised support tutoring elementary school children, scholarships for middle school girls to attend summer STEM camps, scholarships for graduating high school girls, scholarships for re-entry undergraduate women, and grants for women to attend the annual AAUW-sponsored leadership conference in Washington, DC. The American Association for University Women (AAUW) has been empowering women since 1881. AAUW Laguna Beach Foundation is a 501(c) 3 organization, The mission of AAUW is to advance equity for women and girls through eucation, reseach and advocacy. We take pride in finding ways to raise scholarship funds to ease the burden of tuition fees, books and related costs of attending college.
