Siberian Husky Needs a New Home

Description

We are moving our family into a new home and sadly can't take our longtime companion with us whom we've owned for over 9 years. Beautiful White Siberian Husky pure breed with blue eyes (well one is red because he lost sight from an infection we think). 10 years old, male, not up to date with shots because he is a handful and not kind to strangers. Not fixed because we were planning to breed him. Very defensive and territorial, will never attack un-provoked but does not like to be approached by strangers or will bite if contact is made unannounced. He is very paranoid, not good around small dogs or cats. Better with large female dogs and also female owners. Good around children once used to them but it takes time. He loves to play fetch, loves toys, bones, squeaky balls, late night snacks like sardines, or chewy treats along with jazz music. Prefers to be caged at night. This dog is an escape artist and must be watched when in yard, 6ft plus gates recommended and locked at all times. Not recommended to walk this dog either as people can't be trusted and may go to pet him. Also this is Florida obviously and these dogs overheat very easily. Must be in air conditioned room most of the day and can sleep well over 12 hours. He was socialized when younger but then escaped and was captured by some very aggressive and inexperienced men that tied a noose around his neck to restrain him and he has never been the same since. I need him to find a new home with an owner that is experienced with this breed. They are descendants from wolves and can be very manipulative and play alpha male games. You Husky owners know exactly what I mean. If interested, I suggest making some frequent visits to my home so the dog gets used to you before taking him. I'm also willing to bring him to you and can help with some of the training. I'll also demand a waiver be signed if any bites or accidents happen, if protocol is not followed or anything foolish is done on your part, I am not liable. He needs a lot of attention, so buyer beware, although I'm not asking for money I just need to know that he will be cared for and allowed to live out the rest of his natural life. We are having a very hard time finding a shelter for him as places are at full capacity. So please if you can help us and take him or recommend anything we would be truly grateful. Email me for more info.
