Take a behind-the-scenes peek with the designers behind the visual identity of a couple of our favorite restaurants and bars. You will get to listen to the perspectives of both the designer and the leadership team at the restaurant. We will be visiting both Solomon’s Deli and Tiger Bar and Restaurant, which are within walking distance from each other. Our first stop will be at Solomon’s, where we will hear from Hans Bennewitz and Andrea Lepore, who worked together to create the fun, retro visual identity. Then, we will head over to Tiger, where we will listen to Tony Christian, manager at Tiger, and Whitney Johnson, interior designer, talk about their experience working together. Our tour will begin at Solomon’s at 6:00 pm and we will head over to Tiger at 7:00 pm. Your ticket covers the cost of a drink and small bites at both restaurants while supplies last. We will be following all local and state COVID-19 guidelines. This event is produced by our Workforce Programming team. Through our Workforce Program we strive to help emerging designers find careers in the local economy through our Ascenders Academy. For current designers we offer office hours, portfolio review and design showcases that allow us to support designers in every stage of their careers. We bring creatives together for education, inspiration and connections. We believe a healthy creative community has the power to elevate our region’s quality of life and economic prosperity.
