FREE California POST Entry-Level Law Enforcement Test Battery-POST PELLETB Written Exam The Contra Costa County Office of the Sheriff is proud to offer the California POST Entry-Level Law Enforcement Test Battery-POST PELLETB Written Exam at the Contra Costa County Law Enforcement Training Center. The exam is free to attend. Limited seating is available. The PELLETB is a multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank written examination designed to measure reading and writing ability. Applicants are given 2 ½ hours to complete the PELLETB. While test takers may take the PELLET B multiple times to achieve the desired score, California POST prohibits test takers from testing more than one time in a 30 day period. Taking the test within 30 days of a prior POST PELLETB examination will result in invalidation of test results. Social distancing will be adhered to while on site. To comply with California POST security measures, we are required to view and retain your government-issued photo ID for the duration of the exam. Please plan to arrive early. Check in begins at 0900 hours and testing begins promptly at 0930 hours. Individuals arriving after the scheduled start time will not be allowed to test. Recruiters from the Office of the Sheriff will be on hand to answer questions and speak to the event attendees.
