Patrick Scully & Mark Wojahn will host a FIlmmaker’s Fundraiser & Gala on Nov. 4th, 6pm at The Woman’s Club of Minneapolis. Dive into an evening of performance, film, hors d’oeuvres, drinks, red carpets and dancing? as we seek to secure the finishing funds for Mark Wojahn’s film about the life and work of Patrick Scully. We hope with your generosity to raise $65,000 to finish “The Dance is Not Over: A Patrick Scully Story”. This film promises to be an important work documenting and celebrating the life and work of Patrick Scully, Minneapolis’ well known GLBTQ dancer, performance artist, storyteller and activist. It will be found in the future on streaming services, and will be historically preserved at the University of MN Tretter’s Collection of Patrick Scully. Funders who pledge over $5000 will be credited as Associate Producers, funders who give over $10,000 will be credited as Producers and funders who buy in at $20,000 will be credited as Executive Producers on the film. All donors will be credited on the film. “Leaves of Grass-Illuminated”, (a related Wojahn documentary of Patrick’s show at the Guthrie) was recently finished and will premiere October 23rd at the Twin Cities Film Fest!
