Description
WAUKESHA, WI — A year after relocating from Lincoln Avenue to Main Street in Waukesha, Starship Records and Collectibles has changed owners—and its name.
Starship Records and Collectibles, located at 275 W. Main St., is changing its name to Vinyl Vault Records.
Former Owners Crystal Acosta and her husband, Tony Acosta, made the announcement on social media.
"It has been a pleasure serving you and talking music with all our customers for the past 20 years. As we say goodbye, We want to welcome the new owners Dan and Michele. They will continue to serve great music to you," the post said.
Patch reached out to the former and new owners on Monday morning and we will update this story if we hear back.
The new owners posted a message announcing the new name but said they plan to keep the business similar to Starship.
The store has a variety of genres such as rock, jazz, polka, R&B, classical, and more. For the jukebox heroes, 45-rpm records are available. For the younger crowd, there are cassette tapes, DVD movies, turntables, and collectibles.
Store hours are noon to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The store is closed on Monday.
