A three-hour curling event teaching all aspects of the sport by Central Pennsylvania's premier club, Rail City Curling! Have you ever watched curling on the television and thought, "I would love to give this sport a try!"? Well, now you can! Come out and join the Rail City Curling Club for a Learn to Curl event at Altoona's Galactic Ice! Learn to Curl events welcome both first time and returning curlers alike.  LTCs typically run for 3 hours going further in depth during both off-ice presentation of the sport and 2 hours of on-ice instruction by Rail City's own USCA (United States Curling Association) certified instructors.  You will be given the opportunity to dive into all aspects of the sport from delivery and sweeping to strategy and scoring. Cost is $30 per person (additional Eventbrite fees not included ) for any interested persons 18 years of age or older. Participants should wear comfortable and warm attire, such as sweatpants, track pants or leggings along with a long sleeved shirt or sweatshirt. NO open-toed shoes are allowed. All participants MUST wear clean athletic shoes. All equipment to participate will be provided.
