A two-hour introductory curling event of the sport by Central Pennsylvania's premier club, Rail City Curling! Have you ever watched curling on the television and thought, "I would love to give this sport a try!"? Well, now you can! Come out and join the Rail City Curling Club for a Learn to Curl event at Altoona's Galactic Ice! Open House events provide a first time, 2 hour experience and are perfect for anyone looking to take that a step onto the ice or just looking for a fun activity for a night.  You will receive off-ice safety briefing and introduction to curling, then it's out on the ice for an hour of fun. Cost is $15 per person (additional Eventbrite fees not included ) for any interested persons 18 years of age or older. Participants should wear comfortable and warm attire, such as sweatpants, track pants or leggings along with a long sleeved shirt or sweatshirt. NO open-toed shoes are allowed. All participants MUST wear clean athletic shoes. All equipment to participate will be provided.
