Presented by Elizabeth Aversa. Using A/V clips from various operas, we'll take a quick look at what some of opera's most vicious villains have in common and then hear from the likes of Baron Scarpia, Mephisofeles, Klingsor, Sportin' Life, and the Reverend Olin Blitch.
The Sarasota Opera Guild was formed to foster, promote and increase knowledge and opera appreciation in the community; to be a friend raiser for Sarasota Opera and increase opera attendance; to encourage and assist young singers; and to sponsor projects and raise funds for Sarasota Opera and the Youth Opera.
