BRADENTON, FL — Due to a shortage in CDL drivers, the City of Bradenton is extending its alternate week schedule for yard week and recycling into October. Garbage collection continues on its normal schedule. "We will continue to review our staffing on a weekly basis throughout the month," the city said on its website. "Our efforts to hire drivers in continuing and we will review our ability to return to the regular collection schedule on a weekly basis." Here is the general schedule for the next 5 weeks: Sept. 27-Oct. 1 – Yard waste collection; no recycling collection Oct. 4-8 - Recycling collection; no yard waste collection Oct. 11-15 - Yard waste collection; no recycling collection Oct. 18-22 - Recycling collection; no yard waste collection Oct. 25-29 - Yard waste collection; no recycling collection
