Description

Let's Plant FOOD for Gopher Tortoises! We are planting food for hungry gopher tortoises. The invasive exotic plants have been treated a few times. Now is the time to plant some yummy native food that the gopher tortoises will love. Would you like to help in this exciting venture? Just sign up! We recommend long pants, long sleeves, socks and closed-toe shoes. Wear sunscreen and wear a hat, if possible. BRING WATER AND SOMETHING TO DRINK IT OUT OF. WE'LL HAVE FOOD, SNACKS AND MORE WATER THERE. We promote the preservation, conservation and restoration of native plants and native plant communities of Florida.  We focus primarily on Lee County and welcome Glades and Hendry County people, too.  MONTHLY MEETINGS ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC Visit us at FNPSCoccoloba.org or FNPS.org or call (239) 273-8945
