Press release from George Mason University: September 27th, 2021 Members of George Mason University's COVID Response Team were recognized for their work by the Professional Bull Riding Incorporated (PBR) group at the group's Fairfax Invitational event at EagleBank Arena. At each community PBR visit, they identify individuals who represent what PBR calls "cowboy values" of hard work, determination, perseverance and kindness. Mason faculty and staff members Gregg Black, David Farris, Jamie Klepek, Rudi Lubonja, Becki Sutter, and Julie Zobel were recognized during a showtime intermission. This group represents only a fraction of the more than 100 faculty, staff, students and volunteers who supported Mason's clinics to deliver more than 65,000 COVID-19 vaccine doses to the Northern Virginia community. In partnership with Fairfax County Health Department, Prince William County Department of Health, and the Mason and Partners (MAP) clinic, Mason's COVID Response Team also offered mobile vaccine clinics throughout Fairfax and Prince William Counties to reach underserved communities. Mason continues to offer COVID vaccine for Mason faculty, staff, students and the local community Monday through Friday at Fenwick A, from noon to 4 p.m. This press release was produced by George Mason University.
