BEVERLY, MA — Beverly's Annual Fall Frolic road race and community fitness event is back for 2021 at Lynch Park to help raise funds to enrich programs that serve more than 2,000 students in the district.
This year's 11th event will be on Oct. 3 at Lynch Park with a 5-kilometer race over the homecoming route and a half-mile family fun run.
The event brings together students, parents, grandparents, teachers and friends for a day of fun and fitness. All five of the city's elementary schools — Ayers, Centerville, Cove, Hannah and North Beverly — work together to help make the day a success.
The race begins at 9 a.m. and the fun run begins at 9:30 a.m.
Organizers said the mission of the events is three-fold: to raise funds for academic programs at the schools, to create an event whose message encompasses building strong minds and healthy bodies and to collaborate more effectively and build unity among the five Beverly elementary schools.
The public is invited to run and take part in activities. Registration can be done here.
