Join us for a special bike safety workshop and ride in Royal Oak! MoGo is partnering with the City of Royal Oak and title sponsors Henry Ford Health System and Health Alliance Plan (HAP) for a bike safety workshop and ride in Royal Oak! At this event, you'll learn how to prepare your bike for a ride, where to position yourself on the road, and how to signal to cars. Helmets (yours to keep) and water will be provided for all attendees! FAQs   Do we need to be there for the entire event? The bike safety tutorial will start at 5:30pm followed by a group ride at 6pm. Attendees should plan to arrive just before 5:30 and stay until about 6:45 or 7:00pm. Is there a minimum age requirement for the event? Yes. In order to ride a MoGo bike, you must be 13 years or older. You will also have to sign a user agreement upon arrival. Riders who are younger than 18 will need to have a parent or guardian present to sign for them.   Does MoGo provide bikes? Can I bring my own bike? MoGo bikes are provided for everyone as part of your registration, but you're also welcome to bring your own. All we ask is that your bicycle be in proper, working condition as we won't be doing any maintenance during the event. If you'd like to use your own bicycle, send an email to [email protected]. Does MoGo provide helmets? Yes, we do! Please feel free to bring your own, but everyone who registers for the event will receive a brand new helmet to keep.   Do I need to have a MoGo pass in order to participate? No, you don't. We want to spread bike education to everyone whether you have a MoGo pass or not.   I signed up for the event, but now I can't make it. What should I do? Please send an email to [email protected] or edit your registration on the Eventbrite page so we can make sure your spot is given to someone else. MoGo is a public bike sharing service in Metro Detroit. MoGo has 480 bikes at 44 stations with plans for expansion into Northwest Detroit and southern Oakland County. MoGo is a fun, flexible, and convenient option for short, quick trips around the city.
