Here are the top stories today in Houston: Houston and Austin will each add a congressional district under the first draft of a new congressional district map drawn by Texas GOP mapmakers. The proposed map fortifies Republican incumbents despite demographic shifts in the state. (Across Texas Patch) A House of Pies manager is being accused of using a customer's credit card at a gas station and Bed, Bath & Beyond after the customer accidentally left it at the restaurant last month. (KTRK-TV) A man has been charged with murder after his stepfather was found in the charred remains of his Houston house in August. Authorities said the stepfather had a gunshot wound in his head and that he was killed before the fire. The driver of a pickup truck crashed into the cyclists while trying to blow exhaust on them, sending four to area hospitals.
