I have a 40 gallon slide top reptile enclosure, with a thermometer and a heat pad. There is a small hole in the screen top so I would not use this for snakes or arboreal reptiles nothing that climbs walls. I was using this enclosure for a ball python untill I poked the hole in the top opening it, I switched enclosures after that. I know you can rescreen the lids but that was more than I wanted to do, or wait for one on order. Lid does lock and heat pad does work. Asking $40
