Today's top storyThis weekend, three-time Olympian Elizabeth Beisel made history when she became the first woman to swim from mainland Rhode Island to Block Island, a 10.4 mile swim through open ocean.
Beisel's historic swim, which raised money for cancer research, was dedicated to her late father, Ted. She completed the course in just under five-and-a-half hours.
