Description
Namaste.
First off, I am a long-time drummer and acoustic guitarist (32 years), and I recently moved back to the Roseville area from the Santa Cruz mountains. I teamed up with an old bandmate from years ago on some new music, and while between the two of us we have all of the resources to write and record some great music, neither of us have the voice for it, so we are looking to collaborate with a vocalist who has an ear for melodies and meter.
I have written the lyrics for five tunes, and the music is getting there as well, so we'd like to get these to the next step by recording them. In any case, we are both rock/hard rock when covering music, but our originals are coming out almost 80s dark pop/rock a la The Cure, Modern English etc., which I have to say is a refreshing change of pace. Anyway, I have the full recording setup at my house in Roseville, and we do most of our collaboration remotely, though we do manage to get together for an hour and a half a week on average.
Not looking to become famous - we both have really good day jobs (plus I've done enough gigging to last a lifetime). We just want to make some really great, thoughtful music, record, release an album and promote the crap out of it online. We don't care about your age or gender, just your ability to be creative within the confines of the tunes. If you are a woman, or non-binary assigned woman at birth, it would be good if your range is alto or lower.
We don't care about your political affiliation, your religious or spiritual beliefs or race or whatever - just practice being a good person who can collaborate.
It's a long shot, but we look forward to hearing from you. If you are interested, I can provide you some musical samples we are working on.
Cheers!
Scott
