Description
PALO ALTO, CA — A second vandalism hate crime this month occurred at a parking garage in downtown Palo Alto, according to the Palo Alto Police Department.
An unknown suspect graffitied the second floor of City Lot "R," at 528 High Street, with a racial epithet directed at Black people and an anti-Jewish symbol using a black marker.
Police were informed of the graffiti by a passerby on Friday, but they believe the crime occurred sometime since Sept. 15, when a similar vandalism was found in the garage.
It is possible that the same suspect was responsible for both cases of vandalism, according to police. No suspect has been identified in any of the incidents.
Palo Alto police are also attempting to find a suspect who they believe has repeatedly vandalized a bathroom at El Camino Park.
