WASHINGTON CROSSING, PA — Friends of Washington Crossing Park will be hosting their annual Autumn Encampment & Market at Washington Crossing Historic Park on Saturday, Oct. 16. The event will be held from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event will give visitors of all ages the chance to relive the Revolutionary War in the very area that George Washington famously crossed the Delaware on Christmas Day, 1776. The Friends of Washington Crossing Park will reenact military tactics from this time period and bring guests on a journey through time as they play the music of Washington's army, sell colonial clothes, cook food from the era, and give all attendees the opportunity to talk to the "soldiers" that fought in the Revolution. An event for all ages, the Friends of Washington Crossing Park have been hosting this event in the Historic Village area of the park for a number of years. Bucks County's history is integral to American history, and events such as these give locals a glimpse into out nation's most pivotal moments. Tickets for the event can be found on Washington Crossing Historic Park's website. All remaining tickets will be sold at the event. Tickets cost $8 for adults, $4 for children, and the event is free for children under the age of five, as well as for veterans and those with memberships the the park. Families of two adults and two children under 18 living in the same home can buy a family ticket for $20. The event is located at the intersection of Routes 32 and 532.
