NEWARK, CA — 127 tickets were handed out in Newark last Wednesday, as the Newark Police Department Traffic Unit and several cooperating agencies conducted a High Impact Traffic Team detail, or HITT. The HITT typically works together for 3 to 4 hours to focus on the primary factors that cause collisions, choosing areas near schools and other high complaint areas.
