LONG BEACH, CA —A mysterious motorcycle fatality triggered a SigAlert for the Long Beach (710) Freeway in Long Beach Monday morning. A motorcyclist crashed and was found dead on the east Del Amo Boulevard on-ramp to the northbound Long Beach Freeway. However, it was not known how long the biker's body had been there nor what caused the crash. The motorcycle was found down at 4:48 a.m. on the east Del Amo Boulevard on-ramp to the northbound Long Beach Freeway, California Highway Patrol Officer Patrick Kimball told City News Service. The body of the motorcyclist was found nearby, according to the California Highway Patrol. The CHP issued a SigAlert for the eastbound and westbound Del Amo Boulevard on-ramps, and the ramps were reopened shortly before 9 a.m., according to the CHP.
