Description
Hi folks. I am a singer-songwriter-guitar player who performs music that might broadly be described as indie-folk-Americana with the occasional attempts at rock.
You can learn more about my music via the links here: https://linktr.ee/desertatlas
I released a full-length album this past June, which got a nice writeup in 303 Magazine (https://303magazine.com/2021/06/desert-atlas/), and have played a few shows, the most recent being the Down in Denver festival over Labor Day weekend (https://www.downindenver.com/).
Basically, I am looking to add depth and musicality to my live performances. I am not married to the traditional band lineup, and would prefer to keep things small (a trio at most), so this could mean anything: a keyboard player who can program and play beats, a lead guitarist who can sing harmony, a drummer with a cocktail kit, a brass player (I'm learning the trombone and love the trumpet)--you name it, I'll consider it.
A few more things that might be handy to know: I am 42. Not looking to make it big--just play some more local shows (which I think a fuller sound will help with) and the occasional out-of-town gig if it makes sense, and record some more music for as cheap as possible. I don't want to practice every week. I have a small room that might work for practice just north of Denver. I'm vaccinated and politically left of center. I'm open to other people's songs but also might be picky. I play the drums, a bit of keys, rudimentary bass.
Thanks for reading! I'm happy to answer any questions, and if you know someone who might be a good fit, please pass this along.
