TROY, MI — The City of Troy will host a 5k run on Sunday Oct. 24. The 5k race will start at the Troy Community Center and run along Livernois, Big Beaver and the Civic Center Campus, to ultimately finish in the Community Center parking lot. In addition to the 5k will be a 1k family run on the track next to the Community Center. Check in for the 5k race starts at 7:30 a.m. with the race beginning at 8:30 a.m. The 1k run begins at 9:30 a.m. All participants are encouraged to register by Oct. 1. to guarantee themselves a t-shirt. Registration fees: Now until October 17: $25 for 5K, $10 for 1KStarting October 18: $35 for 5K, $10 for 1KDay of Registration: $45 for 5K, $20 for 1KThe city is also encouraging participants to wear halloween costumes.
