Detroit Police Searching For Man After Abduction Attempt

DETROIT — Detroit Police said Monday they are searching for a suspect wanted for attempting to abduct a girl on Sept. 21. Police said the girl was walking home from Carstens elementary/middle school, when a man approached her from behind at 3:45 p.m. on the 1100 block of Dickerson Street and grabbed her hair. The man then pulled her by her hair onto a porch and tried kissing her on the mouth before attempting to remove her shirt, police said. Once her tablet began ringing, the man pushed her onto the porch and ran away, police said. Live in Detroit? Police identified the suspect as a five foot eight, 150 pound black male in his 30s with brown eyes. He was wearing a dingy white t-shirt and dirty blue jeans.
