ROCKVILLE CENTRE, NY — One of the longest-serving members of the village of Rockville Centre is retiring. Thomas Bunting will call it a career on Sept. 30, the village posted on its Facebook page. Bunting has been a building inspector and code enforcement officer since in 1986. At a recent ceremony, Mayor Francis X. Murray presented Bunting with a proclamation for his distinguished service and outstanding performance during his 35-year tenure.
