Great news! Ypsi Alloy Studios 2 spaces available! This is a fantastic time to join the Ypsi Alloy family, and take advantage of the many opportunities that come along with membership: the annual holiday market, open studios on First Fridays, group exhibitions, communal wood, metal, small metals, and ceramics shops - all with 24hr access! General Information: Must fill out detailed application. $195.00 per month for one private studio bay and full access to shared tools and equipment. 24 hr access Collaborative and critique opportunities Access to office to meet clients, hold critiques, and use of kitchenette. Space can also be used for work documentations as well. We offer: Metalsmithing - dedicated soldering area with ventilation and 2 acetylene torches, large propane torch, anvil, stumps for metal working, enameling kiln, grinder, sander, drill press, etc. Metalworking and Fabrication - including welding, bending brake, jump shear, etc. Ceramics: 1 large high-fire kiln, 1 small cone 6 test kiln, slab roller, shared trimming and decorating tools, etc. Woodworking: bandsaw, table saw, lathe, router table, dust collector, drill press, sliding compound miter saw, combination joiner/planer, tools and equipment, and a spraybooth, as well as shared work benches... In addition: 2 overhead hoists palette jack large overhead door keyless entry - don't worry about losing/forgetting your key! Private studio bays measure 8'x10' and arrangements can be made to rent more than one bay, provided availability. About us: We are a group of artists who have joined forces with others and created a 3D (2D too!) studio with the tools and environment we left behind after graduating from the art department at Eastern Michigan University. From our needs and wants, Ypsi Alloy Studios was born. Ypsi Alloy Studios is a shared studio space in the Ypsilanti-Ann Arbor Area, Michigan.
