Soundproofing general contractors?

Anyone ever hired a licensed general contractor to build a residential soundproofed room? Did they do a good job? Was it effective? Would you share the contact? I want to build a basement soundproof studio/retreat from leaf blowers, stump grinders, etc. I use the term soundproof, what I mean is a room within a room and an air gap, added mass, etc. Not a simple bass trap and some egg crate foam. Thanks in advanced.
