Description
Hi! Due to increasing allergies and unfortunate health concerns I no longer have the energy to keep up with my pup. I was t-boned by a drunk driver and since then, have been suffering nerve pain that is getting worse and is causing mobility issues. So in the need to do what's best for my bestie, it's time to find him a new home. Here are his details: Name: Zig Birthday: May 11th 2019 Age: 2 Breed: Blue Heeler (rare genetic fluffy hair) Fav Toy: Toss up between the laser and his ladybug squeaker plushie Fav Activity: Fetch and anything stick Shots: Up to date Neutered: Yes Loves: All the people, and older kids Weird quirk: Likes to eat used tissues :/ He will come with: All of his toys, food, food and water dish, kennel, collar, leash, etc. All of his things. Ziggy is a pure bread blue heeler with fluffy hair, that loves to run and play. He's been mostly an indoor dog and has done well being indoors most of the time. He loves trying to chase squirrels, and making friends with other dogs. He has a hard time with doggy politics, he doesn't make friends easily, but when he does he's a total love bug play hound. He needs the reassurance that the other dog won't try to eat you and will be nice to both you and him before he warms up. He likes long walks and sniffing EVERYTHING. He's been my bestie since he was a baby, so I want to ensure that he goes to a good home where he can be successful. To that end, he would do best in a home with older children (ages 11+) or someone with the energy to burn with him. Because he is a herding breed, his new family should have knowledge of herding dogs and understand that these dogs are both people pleasers and protectors. (He will bark at anything he deems a threat, but has NO idea what to do with it after, he likes to bark then jump trying to give kisses) He would love a yard where he can run and run and run but would do ok in an apartment or townhome as well. He's fairly quiet, so long as there are no squirrels involved. He can get loud if you get him going with play time. He's house and kennel trained. He loves car rides and getting spoiled in the drive thru at Scooters. He does ok on long road trips and great on short ones. It really breaks my heart to have to rehome him. I had intended on keeping him forever, but that idea was ruined thanks to a drunk who saw fit to damage my life beyond true repair. Ziggy brings me so much joy and love, so I need to make sure that the home he goes to will be his forever. There will be a vetting process where we will meet to ensure a good fit, for everyone in the home, as well as the home itself. Serious inquiries only. There is a rehoming fee that is non negotiable. If you cannot afford the rehoming fee, you cannot have my dog. Don't mean to come off as rude, but it is what it is.
