Our Church wants you! If you are a a bass player who sings or a singer who plays bass and you are looking for an opportunity to make some music with a great group of real people who love using their musical backgrounds to give people hope, this is the opportunity for you! First Good Shepherd Lutheran in Las Vegas has contemporary worship band. We play music in the style of Chris Tomlin, Matt Maher, Matt Redman, Paul Baloche, and, Hillsong. Our service has about 125 people currently attending. We also incorporate organ, hymns, and (from time to time) traditional choir and hand bells. It is an old building, there is no stage, and due to acoustics, the Praise Band is located off to the side and slightly behind the congregation. We know that many people are decent players but don't have the time or opportunities to join a band due to work and real life. This could be your chance if you are willing to take the leap! NOTE: Our team is made of diverse individuals that volunteer their time to make this happen and enjoy the chance to serve in their unique gift capacity. This is NOT a paid gig. However, unpaid professionals are always welcome :) REQUIREMENTS: 1. Be at rehearsals (Thursdays 8:45-10 pm) on time, practiced, prepared, and ready to rehearse for the Sundays you are scheduled for. Service is 10:30-11:45 am. We usually warm up & sound check 9:30-10:00 2. Be able to connect to the internet so you can access our shared dropbox and receive weekly emails and occasional instructional videos. 3.
